Brief
The West Yorkshire Playhouse’s marketing department asked Meerkat to provide a new publication which would be more than a leaflet and not as large as a programme brochure. This would include substantial previews of current productions, articles on the “extras” available at the Playhouse and interviews with audience members.
Solution
It was decided that some of the official production photographs should be used, in combination with informal shots of audience members. Meerkat edited existing publicity material and added new material which included interviews with children in the audience and directors.
Outcome
The fold-out publication was widely distributed at the Playhouse and elsewhere. It was popular because it contained a wealth of interesting information, but could still fit easily into a jacket pocket or handbag.
